Getting into trouble

Bryson has figured out how to open my drawers and cabinets. He LOVES opening them all and pulling everything out. Sometimes he'll try to sit on the open drawers. These are his favorites all opened at the same time.

He's at it again!

Sam came to spend the Christmas season with us again, and again he was up to his silly tricks! The boys love waking up and looking for what he was up to while they were sleeping.

He left a sweet note for the boys before he left to go back to the North Pole.

We will miss Sam!

Basketball Begins

We signed Ethan and Porter up for basketball. They just had their first practice. They were so fun to watch!

Porter has some good defensive skills...

Ethan was always ready to shoot the ball.
I'm really going to like this. It's so nice being inside, and not freezing outside like with baseball! The kids are excited for the season too.

A Boy's Outing

Rob took the boys out four wheel driving in the mud today. It was obvious that they had fun by the layer of mud on my car!!

Bathtime Silliness

Ethan had a little bit too much fun with the bubbles in his bath today!!

He had fun coming up with crazy poses.

This was the best one, and his favorite.

Festival of Lights

Last night we met up with my parents at the Mission Inn for the festival of lights. We go every Christmas season. It doesn't feel like Christmas until we go.

It was pretty cold, so Bryson stayed in his carrier the whole night. He was so good.

Watching the ice skaters is always a highlight. We laugh so hard at all the people that are clinging to the wall as the go around.

As we were walking through the hotel, Ethan noticed this chair. He said it looked like a king's chair. He sat down and insisted that I take a picture with his "king face". The kid cracks me up.

Walking back to the car the boys thought they should climb the palm tree. Bunch of monkeys!

Ward Christmas Party

Last night we had our ward Christmas party. After dinner the kids put on a play. Ethan and Porter were shepherds.

Then we were visited by Santa.

It was a fun night with good food and good friends.

Traditions

I love Christmas time. We are continuing our advent calendar tradition this year and today we decorated Christmas trees made out of ice cream cones with our friends. The kids loved it, especially since they got to eat them when they were done!

10 Months

My baby is growing up too fast. He is so sweet and we can't get enough of him. The boys constantly want to hug and kiss him. But can you blame them? Look at that face! :)

Warning

Ethan made a warning sign for Porter today. I just had to laugh.

It says:
warning
DANGER
 destroying
Porter
 will:
destroy a truck
keep you awake all night
destroy things you make
(clumsy)
(coo coo after eating ice cream)

It's all true too, even the "destroy a truck" part. Last night when we were leaving our friends house he ran into their truck and broke off part of their bug shield. The kid just has too much energy! Lol.

Another Award

This time it was Ethan's turn to receive an award. I like that they let the kids sit with their families during the assembly. Ethan was enjoying some big brother time with Bryson while he was waiting for his name to be called.

Ethan got an award for excellence in creative writing.

This is what his teacher said.
"Ethan is a well rounded student, and he excels in all academic areas. He has displayed a love and talent of writing. He writes creative stories that we all enjoy."

Helping Out

The boys decided to wash our cars today on their own. They got everything out and got to work.

They really took the job seriously, it was so cute! Ethan even got the stool from the bathroom so he could reach the top of the car.

I know someday they will not be so happy to wash the cars, so for now I will enjoy their help!
