Last Day of Preschool

Today was Lincoln's last day of preschool. He has loved being in Miss. Heather's preschool. This year Jaime started working with Heather. Lincoln loves her too and gets so excited when he spots her at church. I'm so grateful for these ladies that helped Lincoln develop his love of learning.

Last Time

Today was our last day for our disneyland passes. Rob couldn't go, so I was brave and took the older boys by myself. We had a great time together.

Another Swim Meet

The boys had another swim meet tonight. Lincoln was all smiles just before his heat.

Once the race started though, he didn't move. As much as I tried to talk him into going he wouldn't budge. Everyone else was done and he was still there. Thank goodness for a good coach. He jumped in the water with him and helped him go with the next heat.

Porter and Ethan are becoming more confident in the water everyday. I'm so proud of them.

Birthday Boy

I can't believe that my sweet Lincoln is 5 today!! I just love this kid like crazy!

We kept it simple for his birthday and just did it with our own family.

Lincoln requested a pirate cake this year.

For some reason Bryson decided that it should be his cake and was absolutely distraught when I told him it was Lincoln's cake. Poor guy, but it was kind of funny.

With the nickname he gave himself, I had to get him this shirt. He is as awesome as it gets.

Angels Game

This morning while the boys were gone at the father and Son's outing, I came across 4 free Angel tickets that someone was giving away on a facebook group page. I was the first to see it and respond so I got the tickets! I was going to let Rob take the boys, but he was exhausted from the night before so I got to go. We invited the boys buddy, Lance, to join us. We had so much fun!

The boys were hilarious. They were yelling at the players, joining in with all the cheers, and starting the wave.

After the game there were fireworks. It was pretty awesome.

All the boys passed out on the drive home. We couldn't even wake up Lance when we got to his house. He just kept talking in his sleep. It was pretty funny.

Tower of Terror

Ethan has never been on Tower of Terror and has been asking us to take him on it. I went on it once years back and swore I would never do it again, and Rob had no desire to go on it either. All year I've been telling him that there would be a time when we would be there with friends and surely there would be someone else willing to take him on it. Well, that never happened. As we were at the park today I realized that if I didn't do it that he may never get to go on it. So, very reluctantly I told Ethan that I would take him on it. He was over the moon excited. He is such a thrill seeker. Then he was excited at the thought of torturing me.

Thank goodness there was no line today, or I might have had time to change my mind.

It was still pretty scary. I hate the feeling of free falling. Ethan, of course, loved every minute of it.

He teased me the rest of the day that I was screaming the whole time.

I'm glad that I was able to do that for him, and make it out alive. :)

Mothers Day

Today was a great Mothers Day. My boys always spoil me, but I think my favorite gift today was this sweet note from Lincoln. He's just starting to write and this just made my day.

First Swim Meet

The boys had their first swim meet tonight. It was crazy!! I was there on my own for a little while before Rob got off of work. I had no idea what we were getting into. There were a million people crammed into a small area, and trying to make sure that the boys were where they needed to be for each heat was insane. I was exhausted by the time it was over!

I was proud of Ethan tonight. He wasn't the fastest, but he gave it all he had and didn't give up.

Porter did great and got second place in one of his heats.

Lincoln barely made it across the pool. He kept stopping and holding on to the lane lines. I wasn't sure if he'd ever finish. Luckily, he kept going and and only finished second to last. He may not be the fasted kid, but he makes those jammers look good!

Done

Ethan finished the Harry Potter series today. He absolutely loved the books. I hope his love of reading never ends.

My little Reader

Ethan cracks me up. He loves to read, and loves to be in ultimate comfort as he does it. Today he stacked up couch cushions and made a little bed. And he always has to have a snack as he reads.

Family Cruise 2014

Lincoln finally got to go on his first cruise. We left Monday for a cruise to Catalina and Ensenada. We left Bryson with Amy since he isn't old enough for the kids club yet.

Once we were on board we didn't waste any time. We got something to eat and then went straight for the pool.

After dinner the boys were happy to find our first towel animal.

It was cute until Porter took its head off!!

Tuesday we were in Catalina. The boys enjoyed the boat ride to shore.

We spent a few hours at the beach first. The water was a little cold. The boys played in the sand for most of the time and dipped their toes in a bit.

After we were done at the beach we went for a walk to find some kayaks to rent. The boys found a statue of a seal. They had fun imitating it.

We stopped to have a little lunch,

then we got out on the water. It was the boys first time kayaking and they loved it.

It was formal night, so we let the boys go to kids club and Rob and I went for a dinner date.

When we picked up Ethan and Porter they didn't want to leave. They had been doing an activity where they were designing their own planet and created some robot gear.

Wednesday we were in Ensenada. Rob and I had been there before and didn't feel good about taking the boys into Mexico, so we spent the day on the ship. It was nice since most everyone was off the ship it wasn't too crowded everywhere we went. We played some mini golf...

and spent some time at the pool again.

Thursday was a sea day. There was a chocolate extravaganza at lunch time. The kids were in heaven.

We went to a few different activities on board. The boys love anything competitive.

Rob and I also had a little time to ourselves.

Lincoln's last night at the kids club they turned him into a pirate. I think it's safe to say that he enjoyed his first cruise.
