Christmas 2013

We had a great Christmas. Santa brought all the big boys new bikes. Ethan was happy to finally have the right size.

Lincoln got a cool bike that spins out, but Bryson quickly took it over and decided it was his.
I had a hard time getting Lincoln to tell me what his wanted for Christmas. All he said he wanted was a Star Wars toy.

Grandma and Grandpa Krepps got the big boys remote control cars. They always get them the best toys.

Bryson has been obsessed with trains and our geo trax set, so I found him a new set to add on to it. He was so happy!

I love how thoughtful the boys are, they always get gifts for each other.

This year Ethan made a pirate eye patch for Lincoln out of an old sunglasses lens.
A couple of weeks before Christmas Ethan had mad some bad choices and lost one of his presents because of it. Before our elf Sam went back to the north pole, Ethan wrote a note to him, hoping he could get his approval to earn his present back. Classic Ethan.

After we opened our presents we went up to my mom and dad's house to join the rest of the family. We got to talk to Trevor via Skype. It was so good to see his face!

Lincoln's Christmas Program

Lincoln had his preschool program today. He was adorable performing the songs.

Until he noticed I was taking pictures, and decided to ham it up

I guess even his funny faces are pretty adorable.

Family Pictures

We finally got new family pictures done. It had been too long and we didn't have any with Bryson in them. Our good friend Erin did them, and I absolutely love them. She has such a gift for capturing the boys personalities. I just smile every time I look at them.

A new Christmas Tradition

We met up with my parents at Riley's farm last night for a special event they do at Christmas time. They serve dinner and have a play of the Christmas Carol. We left Bryson with some friends. I knew he'd be too much of a handful. The food was so good. When we got there they had some soup, cider and hot chocolate out. It was pretty cold, so we got some soup first. The cast members were out wandering around in costume and in full character. Several times the boys were scolded by Scrooge to turn down their lamps because they were wasting the oil. They thought this was hilarious. After our soup, we got hot chocolate before we went our for our hayride around the farm. A couple of the cast members were there too and led us in singing carols during our ride.

After our ride it was time for dinner. Everything was delicious.

The play was great too. They did it in vignettes, so at each break they had some different kind of activity. One of the things we did was dance. They taught us some dances from the time period. I wasn't sure how the boys would react to this. At first they were embarrassed, but after a while they were totally into it.

It was the best night. We definitely plan on making this a tradition and having more family join us.

Mrs. Claus

We had another great day at Disneyland. While we were back in the ranch area Mrs. Claus happen to walk by. She went right over to Bryson and started talking to him. She was the sweetest lady, and Bryson was eating it up. I think he's figured out that to get what you want for Christmas is to sweet talk Mrs. Claus.

Me! Me!

This is what he keeps saying trying to get me to look at his new trick. Very impressive.

Just like Daddy

Bryson found Daddy reading on his bed and had to go get his own book to join him. He loves his daddy and wants to do everything he does.

Random luck

We had a fun day at Disneyland yesterday. While we were at California Adventure I noticed a sign that said that there was going to be a special event for annual pass holders that night. I asked about it and was told that they were doing a special show. They gave each of us a special glow in the dark bracelet that would serve as our admission, and were told to line up at 6pm. When we went to get in line it was crazy long. Rob didn't want to stay, but he was out voted and once the line started moving it wasn't bad at all. I am so glad we stayed. They were debuting a new world of color show and gave everyone their own mickey mouse hat that had glowing ears that would change color or blink to go along with what was going on with the show. It was so neat! We were so lucky to be there that day and be a part of this. Such a fun family memory.

Halloween

Since the boys got more than enough candy at the trunk or treat, we decided to stay home and carve pumpkins for Halloween. The boys always love doing this. Bryson was unsure about pulling out the guts though. It was fun to have Grandpa Krepps with us this year to join in the fun too.

A fast and strong swimmer

Lincoln came out of his room like this today. I guess he can't decide on a costume for Halloween.

Trunk or Treat

Last night we went to the ward trunk or treat. The boys were excited to get their costumes on, but even more excited to get a bunch of candy. This year Ethan was a ninja, Porter was Frankenstein, Lincoln was a fireman, and Bryson was a puppy. Bryson didn't care for the head piece that really makes the costume, so it just looked like he was wearing a fur jacket.

Brothers

I love to see the love between my boys. Naturally, boys are rough and tumble. So when I see these sweet, softer moments, I just have to take a picture.

This Kid

Last night when we got home and checked on the kids we found Lincoln asleep like this. I guess pajamas are optional now, but who sleeps like this?! Only Lincoln.

Annual Halloween Party

We had our annual Halloween party last night. As usual, we had a great time, and laughed a LOT! We always love seeing what everyone comes up with for their costumes. Rob and I went as Willie and Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty.

Kevin and Holley went as Fred and Daphney

Jeff and Christine were minions

And Scott and Jen were Snookie and Pauly D.

A new friend

Lincoln made a new friend at the soccer field today. He found the biggest praying mantis I've ever seen. He was so brave and let it walk all over him. Even his big brothers wouldn't hold it.

These guys

These two just melted my heart walking together to the car after our soccer games today.

Pretty cute

In moments like this, his thumb sucking is actually pretty cute. But I really need to figure out how to get him to stop! I'm sure it is linked to this blanket. As soon as he grabs it, his thumb goes in his mouth. I just don't have the heart to take away his blanket yet.

Tough guys don't quit

After a couple of injuries, and even getting the ball kicked in his face, Porter stuck it out and made his first goal of the season. So proud of this tough kid!
