Porter's Color Run

Porter and I did the color run today. He felt left out when I did the run with Ethan last year, so I promised him that the next time it was in California that he and I would do it. He was so excited!

 Porter was cracking me up the whole run. I tried to explain to him before the race how he needed to pace himself so he wouldn't get tired, but Porter doesn't know how to slow down. He would run as hard as he could and then have to walk for a while to catch his breath.

We had a great time though. He loved running through the color stations.

After the race and the after party, we were pretty colorful.

It was so nice having some one on one time with Porter. He is such a fun kid.

After the race we stopped to get some slurpees to cool down. You should have seen the looks we were getting from the people at the gas station! Now if I could only figure out how to get the green dye out of my hair! :)

First Haircut

Well, my baldy finally needed a haircut. He was fascinated with the clippers at first...

...but things quickly changed!

By the time it was over, he was not happy. So much for a cute after shot!

Little Helper

Ethan wanted to help me make cinnamon rolls this morning. He loves kneading the dough.

I'd say they turned out pretty good!

Time for some fun

To celebrate school being out we had the Heywoods over for a few days. Lincoln and Emily are the cutest little cousin buddies. They set up a sleep over spot in the corner behind the couch.

 Friday we took the kids bowling. They had so much fun.

 I think Spencer wins for best form.

 Bryson was great and hung out watching everyone else bowl.

 I love that our kids love hanging out with their cousins so much. They don't even refer to them as their cousins, they ask when are they going to see their friends. We love when we get to spend time with family.

Future Dentist

I love this kid. I find him in the bathroom multiple times a day brushing his teeth. He loves it!!

His New Favorite Thing

This is his new favorite. And he loves that he can do it all by himself.

Porter's Class Play

Porter had his class play today. They performed Aesop's fables. Porter was chosen to play the farm boy in "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" He did such a great job and knew all his parts. He is so good at memorizing that he had everyone else's part memorized too and was coaching them when they got stuck. We are so proud of how hard he worked to be ready for the play, and I think he makes a pretty cute farm boy.

He's a Natural

Ethan has been asking me to sell the books he makes for a long time. When he found out that we were going to have a garage sale, he realized that this was his opportunity. He gathered a bunch of trinkets from his room along with some of his books, and made individual price tags for them. He worked at his own end of a table and didn't do too bad. He's a natural salesman.
