Cooling Off

Bryson loves to help me water the plants. He always wants to hold the hose. Today it somehow turned into him spraying his brothers. Before I knew it, they were all soaking wet. We may have wasted a lot of water, but they had a blast!

Porter's Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Porter's birthday. He chose to have a sports theme party this year, which was perfect for him.

Again, I was up late working on his cake, but it was worth it because he loved it.

He was spoiled with all the gifts he got.

He has been really into pokemon lately and scored some new cards.

As always we got a waterslide for the party. It's always the best part. 

These cool kids were being funny. Best friends for life.

Of course the adults need to have some fun on the slide too.

 While the adults are playing the little guys took advantage and were shoving fist fulls of licorice in their mouth and probably drinking way too much soda. Every time I turned around they had a new can in their hand. 

When we left Bryson was complaining of a tummy ache. He fell asleep in the car on the way home. About 30 minutes after putting him in bed when we got home, I heard him crying. I went to check on him and found bright red vomit all over his bed. Definitely too much licorice! Despite that, it was such a great day spent with friends and family. We love when we can all get together.

Life Saver

Just when I was about to lose it with a screaming 2 year old, this guy saved the day. Lincoln always knows how to make me laugh. Such a silly boy!

Concert in the Park

Riverside has a great summer program they put on. We went to Fairmount Park tonight to see a Beatles tribute band. The kids weren't too excited about it, so we grabbed some pizza and snacks to keep them happy. Rob and I really enjoyed it. The band was really good. They played songs from every album and had a costume change for each album. 

This kid...

Ethan loves to draw mustaches on his brothers with dry erase markers. Unfortunately, Lincoln doesn't know the difference between a dry erase and a permanent marker and made this masterpiece. Luckily After I snapped a picture I was able to get most of the marker off. I appreciate the symmetry in his work though. 

Snuggle Time

Bryson was pretty excited to have his big brother climb in his bed for some snuggle time tonight. Love my bookend boys.

Birthday Boy

Today is Porter's 8th birthday! I can't believe it. We started off the day with birthday cinnamon rolls.

He was pretty happy with the new jersey we got him too.

I love my little super fan.

Beach Day

We went to Newport Beach with the Vehars and Lindahls. We had so much fun.

Ashlyn and Ella were such cute buddies. They were so glad to have another girl to play with among all the boys.

We spotted some dolphins playing in the water too.

They weren't too far from where the boys were. 

Mom happened to call us while at the beach and we convinced them to come join us for dinner. We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory together. It was such a nice day.

Splash Pad Fun

We met up with Anna, Kay, and Roselyn at the splash pad today. The kids had great time.

After we left the park we treated the kids to ice cream.

Lincoln picked out a berry rainbow flavor. I told him the colors were pretty dripping down his chin and I was going to take a picture. Next thing I knew he had rubbed it on his head to make it prettier. Crazy kid.

Deal of a Lifetime

They asked me what they could do to earn money today. I jokingly said that they could rub my feet. They offered to rub my feet for 15 minutes for a quarter each. Best money ever spent. 

Serious Business

Ethan has the funniest sense of humor. Today he came out of his room like this, sits down and says, "Let's talk business."

Simple Moments

Looking outside and catching these kind of moments just make my heart happy.

Master Builder

Ethan has always loved his legos. He loves to be creative with them and make a lot of different things. Each time he built something new it would get added to his collection of stuff on his bookshelf. He used every lego he had and made 50 different things.He didn't want to take down any of his creations, so I told him we could take some pictures of them first. He really is a master builder and I love his creativity.

Last Practice

We have lived at this pool for the last three months. My boys have come a long way after begging me to quit after the first practice. I'm so proud of them. I might actually miss this.
