Mathematician

Tonight Lincoln declared to me that "It's a free country" and that he doesn't have to do his homework if he doesn't want to, and that he can do it his way. He decided to do his own math problems instead. I wonder if his teacher will be as amused with it as me.

First Rainy Monday

When I was a kid, my parents made the tradition to take us out to eat on the first rainy Monday of the year. We would look forward to it with such anticipation. It was the only time we got to go to a restaurant, because it would cost a fortune to pay for a large family. We've decided to carry on the tradition in our own family. We took the boys out tonight, and had a great time as a family.

Bobcat and Bear

At our pack meeting tonight, Porter earned his bobcat and Ethan earned his bear. I'm so proud of these boys, they did it without any help from me.

Imagination

Bryson's favorite show is Blaze and the Monster Machines. He loves to help Blaze, especially when he gets to drive. I love that he still can use his imagination. I'll miss it when he grows out of this phase.

Game Ball

After 2 scoreless seasons, Ethan didn't just get his first basket, but scored 12 points! He surprised everyone and earned himself the game ball. Porter had several assists, a couple points, and great defense. They are learning, and have improved so much this season. Proud of my boys!

Ethan's 10th birthday

Ethan started his birthday morning by finding a surprise on the front door. The primary presidency heart attacked him for his birthday. It sure made him feel special.

After school we had a Lego themed birthday party with all his buddies from church. They played a couple of games

and smashed a pinata too.

After some cake,

Ethan opened his gifts. He definitely got spoiled by his friends,

and his family.

A big happy birthday to my oldest boy. He always knows how to make it fun around here.

Big Brother

Bryson adores his big brothers, and will often request one of them to read his bedtime story instead of me. Porter was the lucky one tonight, and took the time to read to Bryson. He's such a good big brother!
