Quick Disney

Today Rob and I took the little guys to Disneyland while the big boys are at school. They always have to wait around while the big boys do the big rides, so we thought it would be fun to take them and do all the little rides the the big boys don't like doing. We had so much fun!

First Day of School 2013

Ethan and Porter had their first day of school today. Ethan is now in 3rd grade and Porter is in 2nd.

We took Porter to Mrs. Allen's class first. He is in a 2nd/3rd combo class. Not sure how I feel about that yet. He always hates it when I take his picture in the classroom. So embarrassing! Haha.

Ethan is in Mrs. Fryan's class this year, and finally has his friend Lance in his class. He was pretty happy about that.

The boys both had a good day and like their teachers. We usually go for ice cream after the first day, but we got there later than normal and the line was long, so we agreed to first day of school donuts next door.

Big Kid

Lincoln has been my most difficult kid to potty train. I had tried everything with him. He's starting preschool this fall, and I told him that if the wasn't going potty in the toilet, that he wouldn't be able to go. Not true, but I was desperate. Just when I thought he was going to call my bluff we made a breakthrough. This boy is finally wearing his big boy undies...and pretty proud of it too!

And not to be outdone by his big brother, Bryson tried to steal the show.

Another Disney Day

We are taking full advantage of our Disney passes and took the boys out of school for some fun.
We were able to split up our time between the two parks and got most of the rides done that we wanted to do. The big boys favorite ride is the grizzly river run. They will go on it 3 times in a row until there isn't a dry spot left on them.

Bryson loves the wilderness explorer area. He loves the freedom to run around and not be stuck in the stroller. He will climb through the tunnel over and over.

The big boys got to ride on Space Mountain for the first time.

I could tell that Porter and Lincoln were a little nervous about it, but my thrill seeker Ethan was super pumped.

Afterward, they all said they liked it. It was a great family day. I'm so glad we got our passes again and can't wait to have many more days like this.

Utah Trip

Last week we took a trip up to Utah. Rob has been telling me about a fishing spot that his friends go to that he has been wanting check out. So we made some quick plans and off we went. I was worried about how Bryson would do on the long drive, but was a pretty good traveler thanks to some lollipops.
The best part of traveling with all boys is that when they gotta go, you don't have to wait for a bathroom when you are in the middle of no where. Lincoln hasn't quite figured our how to be discreet yet though.

We stopped in Vegas at the Tahiti Village. It's a family favorite. Away from the strip, and family friendly. After check in we went straight down to the lazy river. The boys couldn't get enough of it. That night we had a movie night back at our condo.

We spent the next day back and forth between the pool and the lazy river before we had to go.
We made it to Brianhead Thursday and stayed in a great hotel with an indoor pool that the boys loved. The next morning we drove to Panguitch Lake, and set out to spend our day on a boat catching some fish.

Again, I was worried about how Bryson would do, but he was such a trooper,

and even took a nap on the boat.

The boys loved that Dad let them driver the boat.

Unfortunately, we didn't catch any fish which was very frustrating for Rob, but we made the best of it and had fun.

Saturday we hung our around the lodge. They had lots of different family activities. We spent some time outside playing croquet until it started raining, then headed back for the indoor pool.

That night we had some indoor s'mores back in our room.

Sunday we started heading for home. Rob chose a random spot to get off the freeway for a little off road fun for the boys.

After following a dirt road, we came to a spot the boys wanted to hike around. Rob took the big boys up and they even brought me back some flowers.

We stopped in St. George to hike around too. The boys loved it.

We stopped in Mesquite for the night and the boys were so excited that the pool had a water slide. We spent the rest of the day at the pool,

and then went straight to the pool the next morning to get in as much as we could before we had to check out and head home.

It was such a fun trip. I love being a mom of boys and going on these adventures together.

When Mom's away, the boys will play!!

I got to go to girls camp this week. It was so fun to have some girl time, but I sure missed my boys. Rob was so sweet and took the week off of work so that I could go. It was even his birthday on Tuesday, and he took the boys up to big bear for some adventures. He even remembered to take the camera and get pictures. Dad of year this week!

They fed the fish,

and did some hiking.

While I was looking through the pictures, I about died when I saw this...

Apparently Lincoln had to go to the bathroom, so Rob constructed him a toilet out of some rocks. When ya gotta go, you gotta go!
