A Day At The Fair

After school yesterday we went down to the Los Angeles county fair. We met our friends the Lindahl's there. The boys had a blast. There was so much stuff for them to play with and look at. They thought the snake was cool to watch move around in his cage.
They had some great exhibits. Here they had to guess whose eye was pictured.

They liked the law enforcement exhibit, but liked being the bad guys stuck in jail.
They had an area with a bunch of big rocking horses that Lincoln loved...

With an area to practice their roping skills too.

Lincoln and Ella have a bit of a love/hate relationship. I was glad that this day they liked each other! :)
The boys favorite thing we did is watch the science show. The guy showed some great experiments.

It was hilarious to watch them jump back when he started throwing stuff their way!
It was pretty hot and we were out of water, so we indulged in some ice cream.

Ethan and Jacob got to train to be a knight.
They had to take an oath...
...before they were let loose to practice.
Above anything else, the thing we did most was stop at every. single. photo booth! Ethan begged to stop at each one to take a picture, and these things were EVERYWHERE! He would take a good look at each one before going behind to make the appropriate face. This is just a sampling of some of his best work.

This one was by far my favorite. I laugh every time I look at it.

Movin' On Up...

...To a new room, with a new big boy bed! With a new baby on the way, it was time to move Lincoln out of the crib and into a bed. We decided to put him in the same room with his brothers. Time will tell if that was a bad choice, but he LOVES it! He got to help Daddy put it together...

...and he loves his new "baketball cobers"!

He did so well taking his first nap in his bed, no problems at all.

And yes, he sometimes sleeps with his eyes a little open. Creepy, I know.

King of the Day

Porter was chosen as the king of the day at school today. He got to wear a special crown all day. He got to be the teacher's special helper, and even got to be the line leader! The other students in his class got to ask him about some of his favorite things. I thought it was pretty funny that one little girl asked what his favorite color hair was.
He's pretty special to us too!

Lincoln and Papa

We were at my parents house over the weekend celebrating my brother Trevor's birthday. Lincoln loves his papa. I caught these two having a moment together. I just love this picture.

Schedules

I think it's safe to say that Ethan is not your typical kid. Friday afternoon he decided to make his own schedule. He seems to think that if he writes it down, then it has to happen. He originally wrote it for Sunday, but when I reminded him that we have church and that we don't play with the neighbors on Sunday, he quickly changed it to Saturday.

His schedule for Saturday - every Saturday:

8:05- watch tv
9:20- play computer games (play it for 2 and a half hours)
12:00- lunch time
12:10- dessert
1:16- play outside
1:31- play war
1:36- play with the neighbors
6:7- dinner time
8:35- bed time

He was so funny all day yesterday! He kept saying, "It's on my schedule Mom, I have to do it!" I can't wait to see what Ethan becomes as he grows up. I imagine he will be a great business man some day! He's very good at getting what he wants.
