My Secret Agent

Porter told me that he wants to be a secret agent when he grows up. Well, what's a secret agent without a suit?

Ethan's First Hit

Ethan has struggled coming into a new baseball league. He's coming from tee ball where there are no outs, and no strikes. He has struck out in his first 3 games. He never cries, but I can tell how disappointed he is, and his sad face just breaks my heart. Well tonight he finally got a hit! He actually went 2 for 2 and his second hit came at a crucial point in the game where they were rallying to win the game. I don't know who was more excited, him or me, I was so proud of him!

11 Years and Counting

This last weekend Rob and I celebrated our 11th anniversary. (Crazy, I know!) My sister, Amy, took our kids for the weekend, (Thank you, thank you, thank you!!) and we had so much fun. We decided not to go anywhere, but to just stay at our house. It was fun reliving our prekid days! Friday we went to one of our favorite pizza places to eat lunch, they have amazing stromboli!

After lunch we went to see a movie, then Rob took me shopping, and spoiled me rotten! He was so sweet. He let me take my time and held my stuff for me while we looked around.

Saturday we went to Perris to do indoor skydiving. Rob and I have no desire to jump out of a plane, but this was awesome!! First we got all geared up to go. We looked like the biggest nerds ever!

Then they take you into the wind tunnel, blowing you at 120 mph. They had a guy go in there with us to help us with our form and give us directions to do some basic moves.

It was amazing how the slightest movement changed the direction you would go. A simple twist of the hands made you turn in circles, and straitening your legs a little sent you up higher.

After we were done, our instructor went in by himself and showed us all kinds of tricks. He was doing flips, walking on the wall, and spinning upside down. He must have the greatest job ever! He definitely made us want to go back so we could get better at it. We spent the rest of the day with more good food and a few red box movies. Sunday we met up with my family at their stake conference to get the kids. We spent the rest of the day at my parents house hanging out. It was a great weekend.

A Man's Man

Lincoln has been a bit of a vegetarian lately. I've been struggling to find a way to get him to eat some meat at dinner time. Last night he noticed Rob dipping his meat in some A1 sauce and of course wanted to copy him. So we put a little on his tray, and like magic he ate

EVERY SINGLE BITE!

I think we are going to need to start buying in bulk!

Pictures of the Day

Lincoln and I had fun taking each others pictures this morning.
Ethan had told me that he didn't feel good this morning. I made him go to school anyway. When he got home, he had almost a 103 temp. He told me that I should do something nice for him since he was sick and talked me into a sucker. He then crashed with the sucker still in his mouth!
I went in Lincoln's room to put some laundry away to find that he fell asleep with Porter's teddy bear.

Now if I only had a picture of my panicked face as I just realized that I should be making dinner and not blogging...I'm really not adjusting to the time change very well!!

Vacuum Fun

Ethan loves to vacuum. Anytime it's out he's begging to help me. After I vacuum the room I let him get all the edges with the hose. When I walked in to check on his progress I found this...

Lincoln and Porter both thought it was hilarious to get their tummy sucked up by the vacuum. Lincoln just kept lifting his shirt and saying, "Me, me, me!"

Opening Day and Porter's First Game

Today was opening day for spring baseball. The boys got to march around the field when their teams were announced, and have their pictures taken. Ethan is on the Tigers,
and Porter is on the Yankees.
Porter also had his first game today. He was sooo funny to watch. He always does a 180 degree jump every time he swings the bat. His coach was so patient with him. Every time he would miss, he would have to come reposition him at the plate again.

He did good running the bases, although I caught him sitting at 2nd base once! He loves to run and is pretty fast for a little guy. I forgot to tell Porter that his best buddy Jacob was going to be on the team he was playing today. He was playing 3rd base. When Porter got there they were so funny and excited to see each other. They were high fiving each other, it was so cute.

Porter in the outfield was the most entertaining. He would start out pretty focused, but towards the end of the innings he was in his own world out their. At one point he was laying down playing in the dirt!!

I made the mistake of giving Porter a gatorade before his game. I had to take him to the bathroom 3 times during the game! It always seemed to happen at the worst time too. Twice while he was in the outfield and one time right after he hit and was on first base. He would just walk right off the field. Next time I'll wait and give it to him after the game!
Ethan was a such a good helper with Lincoln through the whole game. Lincoln loves going to the ballpark because their are a lot of his favorite things there-balls, and dogs!

Porter was so excited to see the banner and find his name on it.

Someone was nice enough to give Lincoln this giant balloon, the kid was in heaven.

High fives after the game.

I'm not sure if Porter was more excited to play or get the treat at the end!

Between the boys practices and games we will be at the ballpark pretty much every night of the week until May. With Rob working evenings it's going to be a long season!
