Family Fun Weekend

This weekend we got together for Trevor's Eagle Court of Honor. It's been the first time all my brothers and sisters have been together in almost 2 years. The boys and I headed up Friday to get in as much time as possible. It was so nice to visit with Nathan, since he lives in Texas we don't get to see him much.

Everyone wanted to get some love from Lincoln.

The kids always enjoy hanging out together, but I thought it was pretty cute when I found them sprawled out on the floor drawing pictures.

Friday night we had to bust out some rockband! It's always fun to get everyone loosened up, especially my brother, Bryan! ;)

Saturday afternoon we went to the Court of Honor. I'm so proud of Trevor. Awwww, isn't he cute in his uniform?! :)

Getting pinned...

For part of the ceremony they have all the Eagle Scouts stand. I thought it was pretty cool to see my Dad standing next to Trevor.

My baby brother's growing up!!

What are big sister's for??

The proud parents...

The whole family

Kids will be kids!

When we left the church we were trying to fit every one in cars after the kids we fighting over who got to ride with who. Somehow Brent ended up in my car with all the little kids and it just made me laugh to look back.

The boys spent the whole weekend playing football. They are so cute together!

It was such a fun weekend. Miss you guys already!!

First Time

Last Wednesday we took the boys to Disneyland. Porter has been waiting anxiously to be able to ride Star Tours with Ethan. We've been measuring him often and he was finally tall enough! He was so excited, so we headed there first. He got a little nervous in line. It was dark and the music was a bit intense for him, which surprised me since he's seen the movies a hundred times! Ethan was a good big brother and reassured him that the ride wouldn't be scary.

He started to feel a little better when he noticed his buddy C3PO.

With this being his first time he didn't know what was coming. His face when the ride got started was priceless. He looked like he really was going light speed! I couldn't really gauge if he liked it or not, but when we got off the ride he said "That was so fun!"

Fun with Grandpa

My parents have a dry riverbed behind their house. Occasionally when we get a lot of rain they get some water in it. I took the boys up to my parents house yesterday and my Dad took us down to the river. It had a good flow from the recent rain. The boys played follow the leader with Grandpa on the walk over there.

As soon as we got there Grandpa was showing off his rock skipping skills.

The boys instantly started looking for their own rocks to throw in the water.
They had a great time collecting rocks and playing in the sand. These boys love their Grandpa and enjoyed their little adventure together.

Fingers Crossed...

One of the things I love most about Porter is his happy-go-lucky personality. He is so carefree and loves to laugh and have fun. This also means that some things are just not that important to him. For instance, potty training. We've been trying to potty train Porter for a LONG time. I kept trying and then giving up after many accidents. He just didn't care enough to have it a priority. There were a few times that I thought that were were done with it, when suddenly he started having accidents again. I am almost afraid to post this in fear that I will jinx myself, but I think that we are finally done!!! He's been wearing his underwear for a few weeks and even surprised us when he started staying dry at night too! He's been quite proud to wear his underwear to bed the last two nights. I am so excited to only have one in diapers again, and so is my wallet! So, fingers crossed that this time is the last time!
I'm so proud of my big boy!

Side note: He hasn't been bulking up, this picture was taken the day he decided to wear 7 shirts!
