Thanksgiving

We went to my sister's house this year for Thanksgiving. We left for Arizona Wednesday morning, and about an hour after we left our house Porter got sick in the car. Thank goodness we had a change of clothes for him, but he spent most of the way there sleeping with a bag tucked underneath his chin in case he threw up again.

Other than that the ride there was nice. Lincoln was happy the whole way.

And the sky was beautiful.

That night a few of us snuck out to hit up the mall, and get a treat. They have an awesome cupcake store in their mall, and we were ready to try them all...

...but we decided on six of them to share. We had our own little taste of each one, and I think that we all agreed that the orange creamesicle flavor was the best.

The boys were in heaven getting to hang out with their cousins for a few days. I hardly saw them the whole time. They spent most of their time playing computer games. They had their own boys club going on.

Dinner was awesome, as always. The kids enjoyed having their own space outside, and so did we. :)

Lincoln got to hang out inside, and perfected the art of eating olives off his fingers.

We spent the evening hanging out and playing games. As the night went on my sisters and I were concerned at how hard it was going to be to get up early in the morning to do our black Friday shopping. It kept getting later and later. All the sudden we realized it was almost 2am and that Kohl's was opening in an hour. So we decided to pull an all nighter and went and got in line. Besides being freezing cold, it was awesome. We were in and out of each store so quickly, got everything we wanted, AND got to see the sunrise! :) It definitely is more effective going with a few people and being able to divide and conquer, than to go by yourself. (I've done that before and it is miserable.) We got home at 7:30am and crashed!
The rest of the day was nice and relaxing. I really am thankful for such an awesome family. I love being with them. Thank you Shannon for having us all crash your pad. You are a fabulous hostess!!
