A Missionary Moment

Today Ethan had to give a presentation in his class about his "culture". As we talked a few days ago about what that means, we explained that someone's religion is part of their culture. He decided on his own that he wanted to take in a picture of Jesus to represent his culture, and told me that it would be a good missionary moment. I found 3 pass along cards to send him with and told him that he could give them away to the kids in his class. Ethan has 4 other boys from church in his class this year, so he asked a couple of them to join him in his presentation. He showed his class the picture of Jesus preaching on the card, and told them the story of Jesus preaching to the Nephites. On the back of the card was a picture of the Book of Mormon, so Lance and Trevin talked to the class about it. The teacher tried to tell the class that the Book of Mormon is our version of the Bible and the boys quickly corrected her, and told them that it was a separate book. They pretty much gave their entire class a lesson on Mormonism. The best part of all was that they raffled off the pass along cards when they were done, and told the kids that it was a "coupon" for a free Book of Mormon. I am so impressed with these boys, they are already great missionaries.
