We heard that it was going to snow in Big Bear. It's not the typical way to spend a spring break, but it sounded like fun, so we booked a couple of nights in a condo right on the lake. There was already snow when we got there. Not a lot, but enough to play in. The boys made snowballs right away with what they could scrape off the balcony.
We went outside to have a real snowball fight, and the boys were loving it.
There were even icicles that formed on a bench.
We spent some time in clubhouse playing pool and foosball and then settled in for the night. We all cuddled together on the pull out sofa and watched outside waiting for it to snow. It finally started snowing around 9pm. We just layed there watching the snow fall. It was a great family moment. We woke up the next morning to everything covered in snow, it was so pretty.
We drove over to the church owned camp and asked the caretakers if we could go play in the snow there. They were kind enough to say yes, and we had some fun taking the sled down the hill.
Eric called Rob while we were there and we invited them to come join us. Eric got out of work and was able to book the room right next door to us. So fun!!! Rob and Lincoln got in some good snuggles while we waited for them.
Once the Jacklin's got there we found a mexican restaurant to eat at. They put us in a corner away from everyone. We probably scared them with all those kids!
We let the kids hang out and watch a movie together that night, while the adults got to play some games. The next day we went tubing. We all had a great time.
