We celebrated Porter's birthday at my mom and dad's house this year to take advantage of their large backyard. We went to a birthday party for Rob's cousin's little girl last month. Every year they get an inflatable water slide. Porter loved it and talked about it constantly, so we decided to get one for his birthday too.
My dad worked his Grandpa magic and got Lincoln to fall asleep just before the party started so I was able to play too.
I had them set up the slide facing the pool, so the adults could swim and keep an eye on the kids. It was a perfect.

Everyone had a great time. Although, I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or the adults!!:)
When the adults got on the slide it felt a little like wipeout. If you had too many adults, it would start to lose air and you would start to slide down where you had just climbed up. Amy and I took some pretty good falls, we must have looked pretty silly!! We got a good laugh out of it though.
Lincoln eventually woke from his nap to join us. He went down the slide with Daddy a couple times, but I don't think he liked it too much.
Porter made it easy on me this year with his cake. All he requested was that it was his two favorite colors, green and yellow. He was so funny, right after blowing out his candles, the first thing he said was, "I didn't burn my lip this time!"
In case you missed what happened last year you can see it here:
Porter was so exhausted after playing all day that we found him crashed out on the floor before he even had a chance to open his gifts.
Porter is such a good boy and we are so proud of him. Here are some of my favorite things about him...
He is so generous, and always quick to share.
He has the cutest little munchkin voice.
He is a happy kid, and literally always has a skip in his step.
He sings to himself while he plays.
He puts on his Laker jersey every morning if he can find it.
He has a great imagination.
He loves being a big brother.
He loves being outside, and is an amazing lizard catcher.
He loves puzzles. Any time we take him to the dollar store he picks one over a toy every time.
