Ethan had his first tee ball game this morning. He was really excited to play and loved that he got to sit in a real dugout.

Ethan has become a switch hitter. He is right handed, but when we started playing baseball with him we just let him decide which way he liked to hit, and he has mostly batted left. We have worked with him swinging right, but he prefers left.

He got a couple of good hits. The first time he got a hit, he didn't remember what to do. We all yelled at him to run, so he started running...with the bat! Half way to first base he heard us telling him to drop the bat, so he lobbed it over his head. Thank goodness no one was behind him, but it was pretty funny!

Ethan wasn't too into playing in the outfield. I think he gets bored. His outfield activities consisted of spinning around, several "cup checks", and he especially loved digging his cleats into the dirt.

Over all it was pretty entertaining to watch. Ethan said he had fun and that he liked playing baseball. I'm just not sure if it was because of the game, or all the cool snacks he got afterward!!
